Will Ferrell must be stopped.
I'm sure he has a lot of fans out there, and I keep hearing "oh, Elf was such a cute movie" or "didja see Old School? That was hilarious." No it wasn't, and no it wasn't. But that's beside the point. I don't mind if people think he's funny. I admit, sometimes I smile seeing him in 5-minute doses on Saturday Night Live. And that's how he should be taken- in tiny doses. But imdb.com has him listed in no fewer than 8 projects that have not been released yet, including a treasure named "Joan of Bark: The Dog that Saved France". Ugh. Give me a break.
If Ferrell wants to do a bunch of original pointless movies like Kicking & Screaming, fine. But the problem is that he is ruining other franchises. Did you see what they're doing to Bewitched? No, it wasn't good enough to simply make a movie out of it (originally with Jim Carey in the absolutely-perfect role of Darrin). Instead, they needed to cast Ferrell as an actor who is playing Darrin in a Bewitched movie. Dumb. Franchise #1 ruined. Then, Ferrell is also set to star in a Land of the Lost movie. As a comedy. WITHOUT Wil & Holly! Franchise #2 ruined.
Please, do the world a favor. Stop going to see his movies. And if you like him, fine. Then send him a message saying "dude, you need to take a break before you're over-overexposed."
